Let me share with you our approach to do full arch preparations.
1️⃣1st step. Treatment planning.
We have to determine position of the mandible in which we are going to make our final restorations. This can include new VDO, CR, or any other reposition.

2️⃣nd step. Wax-up phase.
After we determine position of the mandible and models are mounted in articulator, we make functional waxup.

3️⃣rd step. Intermediate scan.
We do full arch preps but not all teeth at the same time. We usually keep canines and last molars unprepped. Then scan. We call it the intermediate scan (check slide 2 in carousel). This scan can be easily correlated with wax-up model (which is actually initial model) that is mounted in articulator in a new position.

4️⃣th step. Final scan.
We finalize preps including canines and last molars and pricess a final scan. This final scan now can be easily correlated with intermediate skan that is already placed in a new position so provisional and final restorations will be done on all prepped teeth in the proper position.
