Challenging deep caries. Swipe and don’t forget to put like to this presentation.

It is always challenge to to treat deep caries. We are facing with few main problems: proper case selection (reversible / irreversible pulpits), complete infected dentin removal, keeping pulp under dentin ;)

My way in such a cases:
▪️high magnification - must.
▪️Isolation - must.
▪️CHX 2% irrigation close to pulp - must.
▪️Electric handpiece - must.
▪️Fluorescence filter - preferable. It helps to identify infected dentin.

Using high magnification, proper instruments and speed modes allow you to keep pulp under dentin in all cases (if case is properly selected).
